The Yoga we Practice
Authentic Hatha Yoga
This traditional style focuses on alignment, physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), and meditation. Hatha yoga provides a balanced approach, enhancing both flexibility and mental clarity while building strength and calmness.
Stretching
Stretching classes focus on flexibility and mobility, using gentle, sustained stretches to improve range of motion and release muscle tension. This is ideal for athletes, those with sedentary jobs, or anyone looking to increase body flexibility.
Kids Yoga
Kids Yoga introduces children to the benefits of yoga through playful movements, storytelling, and breathing exercises. It encourages focus, body awareness, and confidence while providing a fun and supportive space for children to develop healthy habits.
Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal Yoga: Prenatal classes support expecting mothers by providing gentle poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods that are safe for each trimester. This practice strengthens the body for childbirth, relieves pregnancy-related discomfort, and promotes connection with the growing baby.
Senior’s Yoga
Tailored to older adults, Senior Yoga includes gentle stretches, modified poses, and breathwork, emphasizing safety and joint health. These classes promote flexibility, strength, and balance, which are essential for maintaining mobility and preventing falls.
Meditation
Meditation sessions center on mental focus and relaxation techniques. Through guided or silent practices, students cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and enhance emotional resilience. Meditation is often incorporated into yoga classes to deepen the mind-body connection.
Breathing (Prayanama)
Breathing exercises are designed to regulate and control breath, helping to balance the mind and body, reduce stress, and increase lung capacity. Pranayama can be practiced on its own or integrated into other yoga sessions to deepen relaxation and awareness.
